Sue and Colin were excellent and considerate hosts and guides and were very informative. Sites were all of an excellent standard, and the WiFi puts the British camp sites to shame!! All in all it was a very enjoyable and enlightening trip to some very attractive countries that we have always wanted to visit. We have fun celebrating your 10th anniversary and wish Crossings many more. Please pass on our thanks Colin and Sue as well.

We arrived home safely after the most fabulous tour and we were sad when it came to an end. Gary and Eleanor were great tour leaders and we felt they did a fantastic job of organising everyone. Their friendly and professional approach shown through at every interaction. Being a solo traveller with no experience in travelling in Europe with a MH nor indeed a group, I had no idea what to expect. Once I had met the group at Little Satmar, I could tell everyone was very like-minded, so it did not take long to become comfortable with everyone. The tour was superb and flowed very well in its route. Went off piste on a couple of occasions and found some sleepy villages stopping for lunch etc. All in all a great memory for me.

Thanks for ensuring our first Crossings tour was such an enjoyable adventure. The Tuscany tour was a fantastic experience and one for many reasons, we'll never forget. Of course, it was made even better by all the fabulous people on the tour!

It was a special group that did the Tuscany tour. With the group leaders as well the whole experience was a joy and memorable. The stay and the area around Annecy was a very pleasant surprise. Although not Tuscany we both enjoyed the day in Annecy and the boat trip. The site at Pisa was great for visiting the city ... three nights is good to explore. The trip to the Cinque Terre was an amazing wow factor. The journey over the Alps pass was a highlight and recommend that it should be travelled on any tour to Tuscany.

Sue and Colin were absolutely wonderful, always smiling and available to help with advice, routes,places to visit, the best ways to get places, pitching, site facilities …. the list goes on, we couldn’t fault them and their commitment to making this holiday the best it could be for all of us travelling with them.

We enjoyed the detour to Annecy and both trips across the Cenis Pass immensely. We were surprised how busy all the campsites were and grateful that all the pre-bookings worked well. We thought the balance of the tour was right with a visit to Vada on the coast a nice contrast to the hustle and bustle of Pisa, Lucca and Florence. We particularly enjoyed San Gimignano, Muriel's favourite on the tour. The Cinque Terre scenery was spectacular and glad we were able to visit all five. We found some splendid scenic drives on back roads to the campsites in both Italy and France. All the campsites were fine, some noisier than others, but we expected that in busy urban sites. We liked the change of campsites on the return journey in France, and driving the back roads too, meant it did not feel like the tour was ending until we arrived in Northern France. Socially, we found it very nice with a lovely friendly group of fellow travellers. We have taken home a lot of fine memories, even the sausage and chips pizza!

The support with organised taxis, buses, coach etc. was invaluable as it made for some great outings whilst on the tour. Colin and Sue worked hard to make sure everyone was okay and knew what was happening and what they were doing, their advice was invaluable. We loved the extra boat trip they organised, and the bacon breakfast for everyone to enjoy, was a nice touch. Thanks to Colin & Sue and yourselves for another well organised and enjoyable tour.

Overall as newbies we found the sites/ visit suggestions/mileage/itinerary to be excellent hence already signing up for the BP&V trip.

Looking back we really enjoyed the tour and it met if not exceeded our expectations. It included all the highlights of Tuscany and was well balanced with not too much driving on any day.

We have no comments with the main part of the tour (Slovenia and Croatia) or any of the campsites used throughout. All well structured and planned out. Colin and Sue were professional, attentive, informative and available, as always. Thank you to them for making our travels memorable.

1907 miles later, I think the tour was just about right and deserves to be repeated without change. The quiet Sunday at Geneva gave a chance to catch our breath and the supermarket was open in the morning for those who needed it. The two bus trips were a welcome chance to explore with someone else driving.
Taken overall, no change would be our view.

Our first trip with Crossings and we were made to feel very welcome by Bob, Wendy, Andy and Rebecca who made sure things ran smoothly, nothing being too much trouble.

We had a fabulous holiday with Crossings MTL in the French and Swiss Alps and have already booked to be with you for the trip to Croatia and Slovenia next year. Highlights for us included the organised coach trips into Annecy and Geneva, the mountain trips up Harder Kulm and Schilthorn Piz Gloria and who could ever forget the experience of the 1.5 miles being swept along in the river at Bern. We also did so much cycling, both into Geneva and Strasbourg that we each lost a little weight on the holiday! Crossings made the trip very easy for us, notably the channel crossing, checking in to campsites, the team get-togethers and the wonderful comradery with our fellow travellers, many of whom we do intend to stay connected with.

We had a great trip and really enjoyed ourselves. Great organisation and we loved the vip treatment on arrival at the campsites, all of which were great choices. There was a good balance between feeling part of a group and doing things ourselves. We were impressed by your efforts to support a group member who was taken ill. Very much looking to our next trip with Crossings next year.

Just to let you know we had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. All our fellow travellers were superb and everyone mixed well. For me I think the trip could've been three days longer so we could have had more one night stops to cut down on some of the longer distances, but that was a minor issue. We must thank Gwyn and Debbie for there input - they were fantastic what a 5 star couple.

We only have good things to say about our trip to Lake Garda. Everything was very well planned out and communicated. The information you include in your tour packs is second to none and I am certain it is a big help to everyone that joins one of your tours, even the ‘seasoned’ travellers that come back for more fantastic trips with you. We are so glad that we came across your company whilst visiting the NEC last October. Your core values and concept appealed to us, hence the trip to Lake Garda. The tour pack and offer of a complimentary overnight stopover in Folkstone set the tone for the tour. We thought the route and campsites were well planned, as they allowed an opportunity to walk into the town at the end of each day’s motoring. In an ideal world a couple of days in each stopover would be great, but accept this may not be possible for a variety of reasons.

Had we not been told, we wouldn’t have known that this was their first trip as tour leaders. Debbie and Gwyn were organised, professional, approachable, friendly, helpful and thoroughly nice people. They worked very well as a team. Their invitations to a get together for everyone at Beaune and a final drink on them at Guignicourt was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. The tour pack was very useful.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and wouldn’t hesitate in recommending your company to others. We have yet to look at next years tours – you never know, we may join you again!

Our experience of the Idyllic France tour, was absolutely superb. We have nothing but praise for Ian and Linda, who made the whole holiday a stress free joy. We booked the tour with you as this was going to be our first time in a motorhome into Europe and being new to motorhoming, the comfort of having experienced motorhome guides along with us was a great comfort. The sites were of a good standard, a couple had cold showers early morning but they were all clean. A major booking point for us is good quality showers/toilets.
Ian and Linda truly were excellent guides, nothing was too much trouble and they regularly were out and about checking we were all okay. When problems arose they were dealt with quickly and efficiently.
We certainly will be recommending the tours to friends and people we meet at other sites in the future.
So, did we gain the confidence to go it alone, certainly, will be booking with you in the future, certainly.

1) Tour Leaders Linda and Ian were marvellous. Very professional, approachable and calm. Absolute gems and they easily found a resolution to any situation i.e. the meeting camp site waterlogging . Both very knowledgeable.
2) Camp sites. Apart from the effect of the weather on the first two camp sites we found them all to be great with suitable facilities and we found lots for us to do and see at all the camp site stops.
3) The route gave a good variety of French landscapes and of the country. In an ideal situation we would of liked a little longer at some of the stops especially after a long drive but I suspect we are being greedy.

We had a fantastic time on the Croatia and Slovenia tour - Eleanor and Gary are great tour leaders - soft touch, good fun and useful information. The campsites were all good, some were absolutely superb; the route took in some magnificent scenery, both toll and non toll (our preference but not always practical).
There was something interesting to see and do (and eat and drink!) at all the stops. We loved Plitvice (even in the rain), Ljubljana (great that the bus went from right outside the campsite), Lake Bled, the Adriatic coast, Pula (the amphitheatre was amazing), Gmund, Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb (but disappointed so much was closed as Sunday or for restoration) and so much more. It was a great introduction to Slovenia and Croatia - we have not been there before but will go back, and we enjoyed re visiting Austria and we will also go back there to see more. The group was lovely and the dynamics worked better than the other trips we have been on. Not sure why this was but probably down to one or two members who worked hard to organise get togethers and Eleanor and Gary who just let it be! Made friends for life.

A very enjoyable trip ...Eleanor, Gary, Rebecca and Andy were all great and we all made new friends.

Just a note to say we had a really good time on the Lake Garda trip, it was very well planned and the information provided was very detailed and useful - especially for our first time in Europe in the motorhome. Mario and I enjoyed the tour to Slovenia and Croatia, I thought Eleanor and Gary were good tour leaders, helped and supported by Rebecca and Andy, whom I’m sure will be good tour leaders on future tours.
We obviously can’t control the weather but all in all it was good.We visited places one wouldn’t normally know about or stop at due to good tour guides. I particularly liked Slovenia, lake Bled and especially the capital city. Look forward to future adventures.

The camp sites we stayed on at both Lake Garda venues were particularly outstanding. Both in situation and views.

This was our first tour with Crossings or indeed with any other guided motorhome tour. We were unsure if a group tour would suit us as we have always holidayed independently. In fact it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable holidays we have taken. Not only did having 2 experienced tour leaders, Colin and Sue, to offer advice, tips etc take away some of the stress of driving a motorhome abroad for the first time in over 20 years, but the company of a wonderful group of fellow travellers with varying levels of experience touring abroad, made for a fabulous trip with lots of great memories.

In summary we found the whole experience of a Crossings Tour really enjoyable and we will no doubt be regular customers. We really recommend this to anyone wanting to experience travelling abroad.

We would like to say that we have had a great holiday with a lovely group of people, our tour hosts Colin and Sue were excellent and were great ambassadors for your company. We've had a wonderful holiday and have made excellent friends - just like our French trip 5 years ago!

Although we have had our motorhome for 6 years it had only been used for short breaks in the UK and this was to be our 1st adventure overseas. Despite some early nerves and trepidation, the whole experience was wonderful, helped by the tour pack and itinerary, tour leaders and a lovely mix of fellow motorhomers.

We travelled to and through many places we had not visited before, with stops at some wonderful sites. The time flew by and when we returned home we felt that we had enjoyed many different holidays rolled into one and have made some wonderful new friends.

I would describe this holiday as an amazing adventure. We wanted to tour abroad but weren’t confident to go by ourselves. The route and sites were excellent and gave us experiences which I could not have planned by myself. The support and advice from the team leaders throughout was essential and appreciated.

We enjoyed the tour and there was an interesting mix of fellow campers. As I already mentioned, our tour leaders were great and worked extremely hard to make sure everyone enjoyed each destination as much as possible given differing ages and mobility issues.

The campsites were good and the meal at St Emilion was excellent.

A varied route and although we have had many holidays in France we went to new places.
From our point of view we would have liked to visit Saumur and Loches rather than Tours but that would just be our preference.

All in all a very good trip.

I will start with Linda and Ian our guides. These two were ace with their calm manner in which they shepherded the flock. I would even suggest that the company is fortunate having this pair on the books. Both have a wealth of knowledge that I was fortunate to tap into on more than one occasion. It was a great source of comfort, knowing these two, could resolve any snag or give sound touring advice, when required.

I gleaned from the trip exactly what I wanted after delayed planning caused by Covid. I am so glad that on our first France tour in the MH, was with an organised group, with all the arrangements and planning done for us.

We enjoyed the holiday; a good range of locations, good like minded companionship and very helpful leaders. We had an interesting peek into what that part of France has to offer and loved it.

The Tour Leaders always being available for guidance, assistance and information, but not 'in your face'. We think that Colin and Sue provided a good balance throughout the time away. The Group activities, briefings, meal, wine tasting and the trip to Bordeaux were at the right level for us. Not too regimented and leaving plenty free time. We liked the choices, variety and the facilities in the campsites. We will book with you again and have and will recommend Crossings Motorhomes to other likeminded travellers.

First thing we would like to say is that we really enjoyed our first trip with you and we are sure we will be doing more. The trip taught us much about driving abroad with a motorhome and boosted our confidence. We didn't go with any preconceived ideas about the tour so we had an open mind. Colin and Sue were very friendly, helpful and supportive tour leaders. They were very proactive in making sure that they saw everyone before we were due to move onto every new campsite and that we all had the relevant information. They were also there to greet us and point us in the right direction where to park up and had all the information ready so we didn’t need to go to reception if we didn’t want to. This was very much appreciated.

We would happily recommend “Crossings” for this type of self drive/exploration holiday, there’s enough information & experience available, but you are able to chose your own activities & interests, which seems an ideal balance to us. Really enjoyed the tour and thank you so much for being superb tour leaders. It’s always great having you to meet us when arriving at each campsite as you know you have arrived in the right place. It was always good in the mornings before setting off to see you for any assistance which you were very good with. Can’t thank you enough for everything.

The number of nights at each campsite proved to be spot on. The highlight of the trip was the bus trip up to Grossglockner. The glacier was so stunning and so lucky with the warm weather. Was an amazing trip just gone by too quick!

We have for a number of years travelled Europe camping, and so are used to the stress of trying to sort out everything ourselves. This was our first tour with Crossings and certainly not our last – already booked for next year !

Wendy and Bob were fantastic tour leaders and nothing was too much trouble for them. If you wanted advice they were always on hand to give it. If you wanted to go off and explore other places off the beaten track this was also not a problem. Always on hand to offer advice on places to explore, and available places to park a motorhome, and all-round general knowledge of each campsite and the local areas.

The whole trip was a stress free experience purely because all the ferry and campsite bookings were made for us . All we had to do was navigate to the address as supplied via our sat-navs. All the info we needed was supplied in our tour pack, which was full of information of places to visit enroute to our various campsites. At no time did we feel anxious about our daily exploits as Bob and Wendy were always on hand for advice .

The best attribute of this tour company is that they have organised everything for you in advance. Its up to the individual to go and do whatever they want, wherever they want, knowing that the experience and knowledge of a tour leader is always at hand should you need them. We loved this freedom but was also comforted knowing that there was always someone to call if we needed help.

We loved the Swiss and Austrian Alp tour and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone, weather a novice or experienced motorhomer. There was so much to see and do every day. We really didn’t want to go home and could have easily stayed another two weeks.

Having been on a number of previous escorted tours we both agree that Crossings is the most professional company that we have been with. We found the tour pack to be very comprehensive with a list of daily instructions. This gave the choice of motorway and non motorway routes, mileage, travel time and a list of interesting options to view whilst en route.

As previously mentioned over the past 35+ years and now in our dotage it was reassuring to have on hand the support of the tour leaders ( Ian & Linda ) and to know that our sites were all very carefully selected and ready for us upon arrival. As we have not been to Europe over the past six years this gave us the confidence to travel again. We both found that this also took a lot of stress and worry out of the holiday. Another feature we enjoyed was the opportunity of meeting up the night before with the others on the same tour.

All the camp sites were excellent , very clean with all amenities. If we had been traveling in the UK they wouldn’t have been what we would have chosen, as we usually tend to keep to smaller sites but the UK doesn’t in any way compare to the standard we encountered in France. So we were pleasantly surprised. Our fellow travels added the highlight to the trip, they were all so friendly, helpful, those that were seasoned travels and I'm sure we will keep in touch.

It's certainly not "moving in convoy", nor is it a group of older people sitting on their chairs in a circle every night drinking cocoa. Put simply, they take the hassle and uncertainty out of planning a continental moho tour by booking all the ferries, selecting, inspecting and booking all the sites used, then making sure you have all the info you need by suggesting alternative routes you can use and what you can see while en-route to your next site. And your Tour Leaders are with you all the way to support you when you need it... not tell you what to do.

And the proof of the pudding? We're off again next Tuesday to explore the Swiss Alps with them, and we'll be travelling to Lake Garda with them in September...

We would first like to say that the tour itself is well thought out. The tour pack is well written and very informative and I don’t think it could be improved.

Tour leaders Gary & Eleanor were first class with a lot of knowledge about the areas we were going to visit. Very helpful if you had a problem as we did regarding lost keys.

We had a fantastic adventure that was truly full of fun and enjoyment. The tour met and surpassed our expectations.

Wow! What a truly amazing experience we’ve had on our first ever motorhome tour with Crossings.

The tour guides Eleanor and Gary were wonderful which gave us great confidence travelling from place to place knowing that everything was extremely well organised with the guides checking in along the way with changes of information as and when necessary.

Croatia is stunning, but also the journey there is part of the holiday and we didn’t feel 25 days was too long at all.

The group was fabulous and we’ve made loads of memories and have lots of wonderful photos shared amongst us.

We cannot thank Wendy and Bob enough for putting together a fabulous package and we’ve already booked on another tour in 2023.

The Croatia Tour was a fantastic experience. We saw some amazing places, wonderful scenery & glorious weather. Too many highlights to mention. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you Crossings.

This was our first Crossings Motorhome tour. It was an amazing experience, plus we met fantastic people. The group and our journey was more than you could ever have wished for. The beautiful scenery that we saw on route, not withstanding the places we stayed. Amazing times were had while we were pitched up too. Never dreamed it would be anything like this.

Glad to say we thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Colin and Sue are great hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour, the weather, company and of course the French ambience. The information we received prior to and during the tour was exceptional.

Colin & Sue were really wonderful hosts, extremely attentive, giving us lots of information (at each tour stage) and their time & support.

Sue and Colin are excellent tour leaders - there if you need them, full of good advice and help, and always there when we arrived at each site with a welcome and information. The "light touch" suited us very well. It was great to have the flexible crossing and sites booked and know that we did not have to arrive at a particular time because it was all sorted for us, but good not to be over-organised with trips etc. We were very impressed with the standard of the campsites. The pitches were large, hedged, peaceful, with convenient power and water. The showers and loos were all good, in all cases spotlessly clean.

We had a great trip and all went well. Colin and Sue were good hosts and we'll use Crossings again in the future. Many thanks.

Our trip to France was absolutely brilliant, Colin and Sue made sure everything ran smoothly and were always on hand for any little queries and information. The people we met on the trip were all very friendly and everyone got on well. As a first time trip taking the motorhome abroad we would recommend this to anyone, can’t praise Colin and Sue enough.

We very much enjoyed our second trip to the Provence/Adeche and would like to complement you on the organisation of the tour and the time and personal attention you give not only to us, but to each of the tour participants, which is fantastic. As regards the itinerary, we thought it was pretty much optimal.

We thoroughly enjoyed the trip. It's too hard to give a highlight as we had so many; from Mount Ventoux to Beaune and Pont d'Arc to swimming in the rivers. The great organisation and enjoyable company of fellow travellers made this an experience to remember.

First of all, to reiterate... we enjoyed our tour so much, and it was great to see you both back in the saddle. I think it fair to say we experienced the most beautiful scenery we've ever seen, and drove some of the most exciting roads. And the architecture! From the "Game of Thrones" grandeur of Avignon to the European capital, Strasbourg via countless traditional French towns and villages...

The famous Crossings "light touch" continued to work well, ensuring that we felt "looked after" but not regimented... New destinations worked best of all when you were able to provide maps, transport timetables and printed tourist info as we arrived - especially for your more decrepit guests - mentioning no names. We already fed back on the timing of tour pack info to allow advance planning of route experiences.

Crossings gives us the adventure of continental motorhoming without the risks. We know the sites have been personally visited and approved. We know the ferries have been chosen and booked. We know the tour itineraries work and the places are worth visiting, And most importantly, we know that the tour leaders are there if we need advice or help. All we have to do is enjoy ourselves...

We've just returned from our recent tour, and have already signed up for two more in 2022...
