“We have recently returned from Croatia, our fourth tour with Crossings. We found that the tour had been very well thought out, pulling in cities, Unesco sights and places of interest all along the way.  The weather was good for the trip down and back  through France Germany and Austria, and gave us a very good day at Lake Bled. 

 

Unfortunately (typically British this ) I have to talk about the weather, because it was not kind to us at all.  The rain started in Bled and came down in stair rods, the wet weather then followed us around Slovenia and Croatia, with tantalising glimpses of what beautiful country side we were in (If it wasn’t raining).

A visit to the caves at Postojna and the castle at Predjama was really good, slightly changed from our last visit thirty odd years ago, Thanks to Bob and Wendy for arranging the coach trip for us. Also a boat trip one sunny calm evening around the islands off Krk was great with a fish supper and music and dancing courtesy of Rosie and Robin!

 

So the wet weather didn’t dog us completely and did not put us off.  We look back with lots of good memories.  If our bucket list wasn’t so big we could honestly say that we would do it all again”.
