TUSCANY & ROME 2024
3rd to 27th June 2024
Tuscany is world-famous for its culture, history, wine and cuisine and could be described as quintessentially ‘Italian’. Highlights include: the Renaissance delights of Florence, packed with art and architecture; Pisa with its famous leaning tower; the stunning walled cities of Siena and Lucca; the beautiful hilltop towns of Montepulciano and San Gimignano; the sloping vineyards and olive groves of Chianti with its distinctive conical trees; the varied landscape stretching from the rugged peaks of the Appenine Mountains in the east to the beautiful beaches on the west coast. Our southerly-most point allows for a few days in the stunning capital, Rome. Our tour is circular route heading down through Switzerland with chance with two-night stop-overs in the Swiss Alps and near Parma in Italy. Our route back takes us through the Piedmont region of Italy and back through the Mont Blanc Tunnel with a couple of nights in the French Alps.
